Paramount Plus is the subscription-based streaming service that recently replaced CBS All Access, but if you think it’s just a quick rebrand rollout—think again.
Paramount Plus is CBS All Access on steroids. If you’re an existing CBS All Access subscriber, your account has automatically transferred and will run as it did before, but with the following bumper updates and additional content.
With a library of 30,000 episodes and 2,500 movies, that’s already a great start. Yet, even with their existing favourites—and many viewers pay the low subscription price solely for its key original programs, including Star Trek and The Good Fight—there’s a bunch of brand new original content coming to bolster its value and attraction.
To name just a few, there’s a series based on the Xbox game Halo, an updated CG version of Nickelodeon's Rugrats, and the much talked about Frasier reboot. Something for everyone, I think you’ll agree.
Check out our lists of upcoming content further into the article; there are at least 36 original series debuting this year alone.
Another big bonus is that Paramount Plus will be streaming many blockbuster movies shortly after their theatre release.
Paramount Plus announced that A Quiet Place 2 and Mission: Impossible 7 will be available on Paramount Plus only 45 days after their theatre release dates. For the kids (and the big kids among you), Paw Patrol: The Movie will also flow into Paramount Plus as early as October 4th.
Some big-screen attractions will be added as soon as 35 days after their theatre release, others up to 90 days after. To whet your appetite, Top Gun: Maverick, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Transformers 7, Dungeons and Dragons, and Snake Eyes are all set to land on Paramount Plus after their theatre releases and predetermined licensing runs.
With Paramount Plus only available to viewers based in the US, you need to appear as though that’s where you are.
With StreamLocator’s smart hub in place, that isn’t a problem. Providing you with a virtual location in the USA, you can sign up and view everything Paramount Plus offers.
We’ve made it as easy as possible to get you up and running and access the shows and movies you want to watch.
Other workarounds demand that you install their software on each of your devices, then sign in to them each time you want to log on to your streaming service. Once logged in, you have to set an appropriate location. StreamLocator does all that for you without you even knowing it’s doing it.
Because StreamLocator is always switched on and works with your WiFi router, it automatically includes all of your devices. It’ doesn’t affect any of your regular Internet use or your network speeds. Apart from when it’s bypassing any location blocks, you won’t even know it’s there.
StreamLocator is the perfect match for your Android or Apple smartphone or tablet, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, games console, or any other system you use to connect to the Internet.
One other huge StreamLocator advantage is that we don’t limit you to a few connections—you can have as many as you want! If everyone in your home wants to watch a different program on a different service in a different country—each of them on a different device—they can! StreamLocator manages all of those connections at once, so nobody misses a minute of their favourite shows.
Paramount + uses geolocation technology to determine where their viewers are; anyone outside their regional restrictions is blocked from accessing their shows and movies.
Traditionally, VPN and Smart DNS software have been used to find their way around such blocks. Now, StreamLocator has joined the battle with its own incredibly efficient method of delivering the geo-blocked TV you desire.
There are two tiers of subscription for Paramount Plus. The base level is a mere $6 US/month, with an ad-free option at $10.
To sign up for Paramount Plus, you’ll need a US-based credit cart. If you don’t hold one, then don’t worry—you can activate a subscription using CBS Giftcards, available from various outlets.
We’ve got an even simpler solution to registering for all USA services that demand a US credit card. Head over to our Statescard.com walk-through and see how we’ve cracked another attempt from the services to stop you from getting your hands on the TV you deserve.
It’s true, VPN and Smart DNS provide workarounds to geolocation blocking tech, providing access to streaming services.
That said, they’re not always the most reliable services. Even some of the most popular VPN servers are renowned for slow connections from heavy-use servers. Also, service providers are continually improving their ability to spot both of these technologies and block them from access.
The beauty of StreamLocator is that it communicates with each service’s servers, finding out the best way to connect to them, maintaining your connection without a hitch. Better still, it does all of that without you knowing. How clever is that?
When you receive your StreamLocator smart hub, just plug it into your WiFi router (any port is fine) and follow a few simple steps to activate your account. With your account activated, switch your devices over to your new STREAMLOCATOR network that now appears on your WiFi list, and let StreamLocator takes care of the rest.
