Starting this weekend, we'll be posting our good friend's Mohammed's weekly-weekend streaming recommendations!
You could say he's the know-how among us in the office and with so much to watch and so little time, we need to focus on what to watch this weekend!
We'll be posting his recommendations every Friday so you're all caught up on what (and where) to watch.
The Great British Bake Off (The Great British Baking Show)
Home bakers compete against each other in order to prove their baking skills and win the title of Britain's best amateur baker.
Where to watch: All4 or Netflix US
Weakest Link
A group of contestants (ranging from five to nine players) will need to work as a team to try to win as much as possible of a maximum cash jackpot by correctly answering general-knowledge questions in a series of rapid-fire rounds. It is the second most popular international franchise, behind only the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
Where to watch: Hulu OR Peacock
The Mandalorian
Set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983) and the fall of the Empire, The Mandalorian follows a lone bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. He is hired to retrieve "The Child", and chooses to go on the run to protect the infant.
Where to watch: Disney+ US, Disney+ UK or Disney+ Canada
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
The late-night series sees the British comic review what happened the past seven days in news, politics and current events, all with a heavy dose of satire, of course.
Where to watch: HBO Max
Veep
In the spirit of election week, I’ve started Veep. I heard a lot about this show and I never got around to watching it, but I figured now is the right time!
Where to watch: HBO Max
I’ve also been keeping up to date with election coverage through ABC News on Hulu and NBC News on Peacock
Netflix UK and Netflix US also just added Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is in glorious 4K so that’ll be a re-watch I make sometime very soon.
Next week, I’m looking forward to Run as it’s the next movie by Aneesh Chaganty, who made one of my favourite films of the last decade, Searching.
Where to watch Run: Hulu
Where to watch Searching: Netflix UK
Overall, November is usually a bit of a quiet one for new content, but the run up to Christmas means all the trash Holiday movies are gearing up for release. Watch this space next week for more awesome recommendations!
